The Ninety Minutes That Change a Quarter
Not a strategy retreat. One conversation, one decision in writing, and one thing taken off your plate before you leave.
Every quarter has one decision in it that makes the other ninety days easier. Most people never take the time to find it, and spend the quarter reacting instead.
Why ninety minutes is the right length
Thirty minutes is enough to describe the problem. Ninety is what it takes to sit inside it long enough that the real question surfaces — which is never the question that was brought in.
We do not leave the room with a plan. We leave with one decision, written down, and a date attached.
What comes out
- One decision, stated in a sentence you could read aloud to your team.
- The first irreversible step, named specifically.
- Whatever is being dropped to make room for it — because nothing new fits until something old goes.
The last one is the part people skip, and it is the reason most plans quietly die in week three.
